Cardiovascular diseases are the major cause of death for men and women. Many people underestimate the risk of heart disease. But heart disease can be prevented. You can greatly reduce your risk of heart disease if avert bad habits.


People need to take action to improve health. The main risks associated with heart disease:
- Age
- Stress
- Smoking tobacco
- Lack of physical activity
- Overweight / obesity
- High blood pressure (hypertension)
- Diabetes


Many of these factors are shown simultaneously. For example, people who are obese may develop diabetes. Way of life that leads people, significantly affect the risk of developing heart disease.


Make the following changes in your life, because it can improve the physical and mental health:
- Quit smoking or never start smoking. Tobacco smoke increases the likelihood of narrowing of the arteries, which leads to the restriction of blood flow to the heart. Smokers are at risk for heart disease.

- Regular physical exercise. They improve heart function and reduce blood pressure and blood cholesterol levels. People who lead an active life, rarely diagnosed cardiovascular disease and diabetes.

- Proper nutrition. A diet low in fat, cholesterol and salt can help prevent heart disease, diabetes and even certain types of cancer. Choose foods high in fiber, fruits, vegetables and whole grains.

- Maintain a healthy weight. Excess body fat significantly increases the risk, and weight loss for at least 5 pounds will make a positive impact!


Heart disease is slowly progressive. The signs of a heart attack include: pain or discomfort in the center of the chest, discomfort in other areas of the upper body, fatigue, indigestion, shortness of breath, nausea and vomiting. Many heart attacks start slowly, the pain is usually mild and the person experiences chest discomfort. If you suspect that you or someone close to people can be a heart attack, you should immediately seek medical help
